The Tatuaje K 222 is names after company founder Pete Johnson’s beloved rottweiler Kona. Who, passed away April 5, 2015 at 2:22pm, thus K 222. So, to Pete Johnson this is more than just a cigar, it is a tribute and memorium. It is a cross between a Cojonu 2003 and a Reserva J21.
Produced at My Father’s El Rey de los Habanos factory in Doral, Florida, it is the first new (regular production) cigar to be made stateside since 2009. This is a limited production cigar, meaning although it will be regular in production, it will be limited to only about 100 boxes/month, or 2,500 cigars/month.
